Business Systems Analyst, Data Services
Role Overview
The Business Systems Analyst, Data Services will support reporting, analytics, data management, and data flow needs for a Pittsburgh-based organization in a regulated industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and business users. The right candidate will be technical enough to support data processes and troubleshoot issues, but also comfortable communicating with stakeholders and understanding business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with business users to understand requirements, processes, and data needs
- Support daily data processes, including monitoring, execution, triage, and issue resolution
- Assist with data integrations, data movement, and reporting support
- Help improve existing data services, reporting tools, and internal applications
- Perform requirements analysis, process mapping, and documentation
- Partner with data, application, project, and business teams to ensure solutions meet user needs
- Create and maintain technical and process documentation
- Support users with daily and periodic data/reporting needs
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst, BI, Data Services, or similar role
- Strong SQL experience
- Experience with APIs, ETL / ELT, data imports / exports, and data integration
- Experience supporting reporting, analytics, or data-driven business solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft data technologies and/or Azure data services
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated industry
- Experience with Microsoft data stack tools such as SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Data Factory, or related tools
- Experience with data visualization or enterprise reporting tools
- Exposure to cloud data platforms or modern data engineering tools
