Locations: Dallas, TX | Pittsburgh, PA | Cleveland, OH
Employment Type: Full-time, W2 (No sponsorship available)
About the Role
Techstra Solutions is seeking an experienced Delivery Lead with strong QA leadership to oversee a mission-critical testing program supporting a legacy .NET application within a large financial institution.
This role owns end-to-end QA delivery—from planning through release readiness—across a complex, highly regulated environment. You’ll be accountable for quality outcomes, delivery predictability, and risk management while navigating aging systems, multiple stakeholders, and strict regulatory expectations.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who blends delivery management discipline, hands-on QA leadership, and deep experience with legacy enterprise platforms.
What You’ll Do
Delivery & Program Leadership
Own end-to-end delivery of QA initiatives for a legacy .NET application
Build and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers
Drive execution across functional, integration, regression, UAT, and release-support testing
Proactively manage risks tied to legacy architecture, environments, data, and tooling constraints
QA Strategy & Execution
Partner with QA Architects and senior testers to define pragmatic testing strategies for 20+ year-old systems
Ensure test coverage meets financial-grade quality and regulatory standards
Oversee defect lifecycle management, triage, prioritization, and remediation tracking
Balance manual vs. automated testing based on system maturity and timelines
Stakeholder & Client Management
Act as the primary QA delivery contact for technology, business, compliance, and risk teams
Communicate QA status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to senior and executive stakeholders
Facilitate release readiness decisions and quality threshold discussions
Build trust through transparent reporting and predictable delivery
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Ensure QA processes align with audit, regulatory, and internal risk requirements
Maintain test documentation, execution evidence, and formal sign-offs
Support internal and external audits with clear testing artifacts
Team Leadership
Lead and coordinate onshore/offshore QA teams and vendor partners
Set clear expectations for roles, deliverables, and accountability
Coach QA leads and testers on delivery discipline and legacy system best practices
Promote a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
8+ years in software delivery, QA leadership, or program management roles
Proven experience leading QA-centric delivery for large, complex enterprise systems
Strong background with legacy .NET applications (monolithic systems, batch jobs, integrations)
Experience in financial services or regulated environments
Demonstrated ability to manage risk and dependencies in high-stakes production systems
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial banking or core financial platforms
Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall delivery in legacy environments
Understanding of CI/CD challenges and incremental modernization
Experience managing QA vendors or consulting partners
How Success Is Measured
Predictable, on-time QA delivery with clear risk visibility
Increased release confidence and reduced production defects
Strong stakeholder trust in QA reporting and recommendations
Effective coordination of QA resources with minimal business disruption
