SAP FICA Consultant
Role Overview
The SAP FICA Functional Analyst will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and enhancing SAP FICA functionality to meet evolving business and operational requirements. This role partners closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and ensure effective system performance. The position includes functional support, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and collaboration on integrations, process improvements, and enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP FICA expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions in a complex enterprise setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance SAP FICA functionality in alignment with business and operational needs
- Partner with business users and technical teams to gather requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions
- Configure and maintain SAP FICA modules and related financial processes
- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and support resolution efforts
- Assist with integrations between SAP FICA and other SAP modules or connected business systems
- Support testing efforts including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Create and maintain functional documentation, process flows, configuration details, and training materials
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency
- Collaborate with project teams on enhancements, upgrades, implementations, or ongoing support initiatives
- Provide day-to-day functional support and guidance to business users
Required Qualifications/Skills
- 5+ years of experience working with SAP FICA
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong understanding of SAP configuration, support, and functional design
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions
- Knowledge of financial operations, billing, collections, account maintenance, and related processes
- Experience supporting testing, documentation, and end-user support
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business, IT, and external partners
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a manufacturing or large enterprise environment is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP integrations to other financial or customer-related modules
- Experience supporting process improvements or transformation initiatives
- Prior experience in a hybrid business/IT liaison role
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA or related modernization efforts is a plus
